First Lean & Green Star Achieved!
19 JULY 2023 - In recent years, De Rijke has pursued an increasingly sustainable strategy to reduce its CO2 emissions. We are very proud that we can now officially announce that De Rijke Group has earned its first Lean & Green Star! This achievement is a reward for the hard work and reliability of sustainability and environmental awareness. As De Rijke we are improving on sustainability and this recognition is a step in the right direction! On to the second star.
BigMile
Insight in your CO2 emissions!
To start measuring our CO2 emissions, de Rijke has started a partnership with BigMile. BigMile makes measuring and providing insight into CO2 easy through an interactive SaaS environment. This platform helps us make reduction plans and advises our customers on how we can reduce our footprint and what impact can be realized.
Lean & Green Europe
For those who are not familiar with the program, Lean & Green (https://lean-green.nl/) is an originally Dutch recognition program for CO2 reduction in transport and logistics. To take steps in our sustainability strategy, Lean & Green guides us with our CO2 calculation. Via an external audit the correctness of our calculations is verified.
It doesn't stop by achieving the first star. Through a CO2 reduction plan and careful monitoring our emissions, we intend to continue the Lean & Green programme. This star is not just a recognition; it shows that we as a transport company take our responsibility in creating a more sustainable sector. We would also like to thank our partners, customers and stakeholders for their cooperation. Only by partnering and accelerating value everyday, we can create a greener and more sustainable future together!
