NEW FEIGE IBC FILLING LINE FOR DE RIJKE!

25 OCTOBER 2023 - De Rijke is proud to announce that the first stage of the Rotterdam-Botlek filling project has meanwhile been successfully completed: The capacity expansion and modernization of our IBC filling operations for liquids is ready for use!

In addition to our existing 6 filling lines for drums and IBC’s, a brand-new, completely automatic FEIGE IBC filling line has been installed during this initial stage.

The robotized filling line is highly efficient and can deal with a wide range of liquids, including those that are ADR/IMO classified. It goes without saying that this ATEX certified machine is equipped with a vapor treatment system and is positioned in a certified, fire-protected area at our Seveso warehouse & filling plant. The implemented robotization ensures that operators do not have to enter the area where the actual filling and IBC opening/closing takes place. This prevents undesired exposure of the operators to the products or product vapors. As a result, a new standard for IBC filling is being set: PPE should clearly not be regarded as a first line of defense for operators in our view! Furthermore, purely as a precaution, both the filling area and its surroundings are equipped with very reliable gas detection systems. The required static electricity control is obviously arranged as well.

The new ultra energy-efficient compressors and vapor treatment systems complete this new, extremely efficient, sustainable and - above all - extremely safe packaging line for both our staff as well as for the environment.

We are currently working hard to complete the second phase of this comprehensive Botlek-Rotterdam filling project. More about that soon!
