In collaboration with the Municipality of Nissewaard, we organized an inspiration day for young people who are currently unfortunately unemployed and not attending any education. In total, we had the privilege of hosting 17 young individuals with 8 guides from the municipality. Divided into 2 groups, they toured the warehouse, received explanations about the operation of a truck, and even had the opportunity to take a ride with a driver to truly experience it!

To conclude, an information session was held at the headquarters of De Rijke Group, organized by HR in collaboration with the municipality. We informed them about the opportunities in logistics. CEO Kees de Rijke and Alderman Hanneke Stengs also joined to address the young participants and answer their questions.

We, at De Rijke, take pride in the possibility of having contributed to inspiring this group. Above all, we hope they had an enjoyable day!

This aligns well with the social character of our company, where we strive to contribute to our immediate surroundings. In this way, we aim to initiate a chain reaction, hoping that multiple companies in the Municipality of Nissewaard will open their doors to this target group.
